About Spring Valley
In 1970, Robert Kaercher struck a natural spring on twenty acres outside Dexter, Michigan. The water came up at 51 degrees — cold, clean, and constant — and he knew exactly what to do with it. He built the ponds, stocked them with rainbow trout, and opened the gates. Three generations later, the spring still flows and the farm is still family-run.
Today Spring Valley raises over 22,000 rainbow trout a year in spring-fed, pollution-free water. We sell fresh fish, heritage turkeys, farm eggs, and a growing line of goods through our Farm Store. Bob's Fish House serves fried fish and comfort food on weekends. If you've eaten our trout, you know — there's nothing else like it.
